One of my favorites. I remember at the '90 Pal National my coach telling me to watch this kid every time that he was about to fight. I followed his progress from that day on. People don't realize that Arturo had the traditional boxing skills, a high level working from the jab and movement. For whatever reason he just seemed to drop it, the good jab, traditional boxing, to become an in your face ****er. The guy was more than willing to eat a shot or two of yours just for the opportunity to try to hit you back. Exciting, skilled (far more than he is given credit) and you may never see a fighter with a bigger heart. He always came to fight.
Wish we had 1000 more just like him.Comment

Yup, you knew he was going to get cut, you knew he was going to get hurt and you knew he was going to get a second wind and come back firing bombs.
Prime Gatti was something else. Absolutely no quit in him at all.Comment
