Honestly its not going to happen.
Rigo is already small at 122.
Loma is good at 126 and why take a risk by draining yourself.
It's kind of a risky fight for both guys with nothing to gain out of it all. One is a little too big for the other, both very good champions who have a long way to go. Why have someone take an L when there is no need?
Maybe they should meet down the road in 5 years but now it just doesn't make sense.Comment

how can he be labelled a cherry-picker when he literally can't get a fight? but if he joins haymon as is rumoured then he should be in a fairly strong position going forward. if he fought loma i'd have to pick loma based on size, and i get no satisfaction from seeing quality fighters lose simply because they're too smallComment

Props for keepin it real and not being light on a fighter you're a fan of. Green K sent.Rigo needs to take this. I've been critical of guys like GGG, Thurman and others for not fighting the best in the neighborhood of their weight division and I'm not giving my dude a pass for it either.
It's a big enough fight for him to take the risk, move up and go back down after. Get it done.
Fight might not get made but if it does... it's a good ass fight. Slight lean for Rigo at the moment but I'd probably need to think this one over...Comment

I think when Loma moves up, he's going to move up to the full 130. Right now I think they're just checking their options at 126, since Walters couldn't make weight it completely ruined the plans for the rest of the year, now they need to reevaluate and check all the options before making the jump (there is no coming down once you move up).
I think he should be fighting more than twice a year though, that's something I'm going to keep complaining on.Last edited by HI-TECH Boxing; 07-10-2015, 02:49 PM.Comment
