Comments Thread For: Weights From Cebu: Nietes 108 Lbs, Rodriguez 108 Lbs.

Donnie Nietes puts his junior flyweight title—as well as his reputation as the best 108 lb. fighter on the planet—on the line as he embraces the challenge of former strawweight titlist Francisco Rodriguez Jr.

The battle of little big men takes place Saturday evening in Cebu, Philippines. Both fighters made weight on Friday, each coming in right at the 108 lb. divisional limit. [Click Here To Read More]

It'd be great if Rodriguez Jr. wins, but I'm just hoping for a F.O.T.Y. candidate. Whoever wins has a lot of intriguing options at 108 or 112.

Rodriguez is definitely a live underdog, but I don't think Nietes is ready for a lost just yet. Should be a fun fight.

This should be an amazing fight. I'm excited for this fight, more so than I have been for most recent fights within the past few months. War Chihuas! War Ahas!
