U got to u understand that rigo has been the same size forever. He came from a poor country and thus doesn't have nasty American eating habits. Him moving up in weight is likely an incredibly difficult thing for him. Could he do it. Probably. Woukd it be good for him. Probably not.

If you want to talk semantics to make you feel right, whatever. Manny still moved up 7 or 8 divisions, I'm just asking for one from Rigo and GGG. Only in the new era is "I'm too small to move up" a justifiable excuse for cherry picking.

There's nothing to excited about here. Haymon or not, Rigo has NO (read ZERO) competition at 122lbs... Yeah, it would be nice to see him embarrass Leo Santa Cruz, but it's not like anyone expects that to be a competitive fight... So what's the point whether he's with Haymon or not...

There's only one guy near him in weight that offers a true, I absolutely have to watch this, challenge... and that's Loma at 126lb.... But apparently both Loma and Rigo have gone into turtle shell mode of not wanting to fight at catchweights... So whatever...

Still a big Rigo fan, and good for him, he deserves more money/fame...but from a pure boxing fan perspective, doesn't really offer much...
