Manny isn't a ww he fought there. Cotto isn't a MW he fought there. Floyd isn't a JMW, he fought there. If your soooo good, then move up and challenge yourself.

If a football team said they were the best but then only played teams with sub 500 records, I'd call them out on their bull**** too. Rigo is no different. I don't buy the "I'm too small too move up" excuse. I believe in the "I'm too good excuse" meaning that even though I'm small, I'm so good I'll move up and prove myself even more.

Being on free tv will help. They need to give him a couple of fights that will make him look good.

Manny's been fighting at welter for six years. He's a welter. And if Cotto continues to fight at 160 he'll be a middle. Period.

Frampton-Santa Cruz-Rigo-Mares and then throw in the likes of Cuellar and Russell jr.
Very good fights to be made there from 122-126

If you win a title in a weight class, you now belong to that weight class. Don't like it? Vacate the title and go back where you came from.

Manny can fight at WW because he's that good, he isn't a natural 147 pounder which is what we're talking about here. They go into areas that are not "natural" to their body. Rigo should move up and prove how good he is instead of just talking about it. I say the same **** to GGG. No one at 168 wants to fight GGG? Beating at bum at 168 is better than a 160 bum, thus you'd get more credit.

I think when you campaign there for six years it's safe to assume you're a welter.

If you want to talk semantics to make you feel right, whatever. Manny still moved up 7 or 8 divisions, I'm just asking for one from Rigo and GGG. Only in the new era is "I'm too small to move up" a justifiable excuse for cherry picking.

Broner is an idiot but I at least like his attitude when he jumped up two weightclasses. Wrong or not he had the belief in himself, these other sissies obviously don't.

There's nothing to excited about here. Haymon or not, Rigo has NO (read ZERO) competition at 122lbs... Yeah, it would be nice to see him embarrass Leo Santa Cruz, but it's not like anyone expects that to be a competitive fight... So what's the point whether he's with Haymon or not...

There's only one guy near him in weight that offers a true, I absolutely have to watch this, challenge... and that's Loma at 126lb.... But apparently both Loma and Rigo have gone into turtle shell mode of not wanting to fight at catchweights... So whatever...

Still a big Rigo fan, and good for him, he deserves more money/fame...but from a pure boxing fan perspective, doesn't really offer much...
