What makes you the A Side?

Just keen to see people's opinions on this?

Seeing as GGG has acclaimed himself the A side vs Ward? . . . But has he even earned the right to do so yet?
He has higher viewing numbers I think (correct me if I'm wrong) but has accomplished less. So who is the A side and what makes them that?. . . I know there's some obvious answers to this, but let's just have a discussion for the sake of it.

When you're not the B side, you're the A side.

For me, 80% of it is about the asses you put in the seats. 20% is based on your resume or if your a champion. As to what A side should mean, I think that is the more important question. To me A/B side should basicly just mean the split. All this catchweight, gloves, and other unnecessary diva **** needs to go.

It's a lot of factors but i guess it comes down to basically who needs the other one more? Everyone wants to fight mayweather while he can pick and choose so he is the A-side, he can dictate the terms.. Martinez wanted to fight Cotto more then the other way around, so Cotto could dictate the terms, he was the A-side... Whoever has the stronger bargaining position is the A-side..

Golovkin dosen't seem to want Ward if not on his own terms or maybe not at all and Ward seems also a bit reluctant so i don't know, it comes down to who has other, more lucrative career options..

whichever fighter is responsible for bringing in the most revenue (ticket sales, network rights fees, etc) is the "A" side......

Ward has been trying to make that fight happen for over a year. GGG wants no part of Ward. Even Kovalev is apprehensive about fighting Ward, although more willing than GGG.

Ward is the A side. After 1 or 2 more tune up fights, he'll draw just as big and his resume is much better. GGG knows when he steps in with Ward he's going to get schooled.

                Whose promoter has more money.
Jay-Z or Haymon is your promoter/manager --> you're the A side against a K2, Main Event, etc... guy
