Comments Thread For: Browne: Wilder is Chicken ****, Povetkin Will KO Him

Heavyweight contender Lucas Browne (22-0, 19KOs) has made himself available for Deontay Wilder's next defense, but claims the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion has rejected him. Browne is the mandatory challenger to WBA 'regular' champion Ruslan Chagaev.

Browne is ready to step in and fight Wilder on September 26th, when the champ is scheduled to make his next title defense in the main event of a Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC.

Hey Lucas, fight a top 20 contender and maybe your complaints will be taken more seriously.

Browne is a glorified pub brawler.

I think Glazkov is the best available opponent who's upside outweighs any risk that he poses. Glazkov is fundamentally solid, is undefeated but lacks huge KO power and killer instinct. I think he would give Wilder a tough fight.

Hatton has blocked me on twitter for tweeting to him to get a fight scheduled for Browne.

Glazkov is supposed to be fighting in Russia in mid-August.

Wilder may fight the Kyotaro Fujimoto, according to the Japanese media. Or it could be someone else.

Knowing Wilder's management, it will be the weakest possible ranked contender.

glazkov would be an alright opponent. A fringe contender who lacks killer instinct like someone else pointed out. Got a decent chin & has some boxing skills. Glazkov could be waiting for awhile before he gets his mandatory fight against klitschko so he might as well give up the IBF ranking for a title shot. If he were to beat wilder a huge payday would be on the horizon for all the marbles.
