Golovkin's the one moving up and Ward doesn't sell on his own. One way or the other Golovkin's the A-side, money or weight.

Cotto is the MW Champ and GGG is a MW so theres NO reason that fight cant ne made.

Ward is a 168lber, GGG 160...164 is meeting halfway. They arent in the same division, whats wrong with that?

Canelo? I have no objections for eithrr a Cotto or GGG match.
So 168 for froch & chavez jr but 164 for ward?

GGG would make more money from a Froch fight and Kovalev would make more from a Stevenson fight. Ward is basically a nobody in boxing right now and he is the one who is in great need and he is a distant B side to either GGG or Kovalev or any active top contender today for that matter.
Cotto does NOT need GGG and that does not stop you from pretending that Cotto DOES need GGG.

        Fanboy is drunk with it.

Froch and Chavez both bring alot of cash and fans to the table, Ward does not.

In their dreams, but whatever you can't get it if you don't ask for it so start high.

I am sure Ward would respond with something like 168 60/40 in my favor in Oakland.

The rub comes if the two side can actually cross that gap, 168 50/50 in LA or Vegas seems fair enough.

Anyone that's been into boxing long enough to see Andre Ward fight knows that GGG would get a bump in status from fighting him. Not the other way around.

But they're not equal in terms of marketing. What kind of numbers do you think Golovkin would've pulled in on BET vs Paul Smith? Way freaking more than the 323k Ward did. No, Golovkin is a legitimately bigger name at the current time.

Roc Nation is already losing millions on Ward with his outrageous purse, time buy and ticket comping. He doesn't bring in Mexican revenue like Chavez and he doesn't bring in UK revenue like Froch. You want Golovkin to move up and risk his current market status, then there's got to be some significant give on Ward's end.

We shouldnt hold Ward to the same standard as Chavez. Ones a bum while the other is extremely talented. The funny part is that when it comes to a GGG/Cotto fight, Ward all of a sudden has "fans" yall just hoping that Ward will protect Cotto
