So since the catchweight request is an obvious duck, the GGG fans instead are trying to argue whos the A side? Just trying to deflect attention from the obvious duck. Lol

GGG has fought 5 times since then.
GGG is fighting 2 more times this year.
Ward will be lucky to fight one more time this year.
One guy keeps himself busy fighting and it's not Ward lol
Golovkin fights two more times this year and, in the total seven fights that Golovkin will have had by the end of the year, he would've had made one opponent who was clearly better than the level of opposition that Ward felt was required after not fighting in 18 months.
Enjoy Golovkin crushing another two cans; he's running out of leeway to work with. Hope you don't kill yourself when he gets wrecked.

GGG fans atleast get to enjoy him crushing a can. SOG fans have to settle for him hugging & slapping his cans.

ITT: Several people who have defended other catchweights shatting on GGG about this hypothetical one.

While Ward, who has nothing left to prove at 168, can barely even make that weight anymore, shouldn't move up to 175? Where he has EVERYTHING to gain?
We all know Kovalev is dangerous but he is also a HUGE opportunity Ward could capitalize on. Imagine how much Ward's stock would climb if he defeats Kovalev. GGG doesn't really have that much to gain by moving up, certainly not as much as Ward does.. Now tell me again, which of the two really needs to "grow a set".
In the near future, he's going to have to answer for all the mass that his camp talked. Golovkin will fight his can this Fall, fight for the vacant WBC belt this winter and then, come 2016 Golovkin is going to be out of time.
Andy Lee will likely keep the WBO title in the UK/PBC, Lemieux will likely keep the IBF title within Montreal/Golden Boy, Canelo/Cotto will likely be back at 154, and the Haymon middleweights will fight among themselves.
Team Golovkin will look across the landscape, see the landscape for what it is, and have non other option than to take Andre Ward; Ward already being 173 with three weeks to the fight proved that making 168 would've been hardly a problem for him. Again, facts have a funny way of messing up inaccurate pictures.
Ward has been pretty clear with his goal; the moment he feels ready to go up to 175, he's making the move up and will not be coming back down. Team Golovkin running their mouth seems to have hit a nerve. Ward now has a pretty good reason to stay at 168, with his body not really asking him to move up yet either.
Kovalev will be there after (though, with Duva's moves with Kovalev's career, by the time the fight were to come about, Kovalev may have had to vacate all of his title belts in ducking Haymon's fighters at 175 [Beterbiev, Fonfora, Alvarez are within 8-10 months of being positioned as mandatory challengers to Kovalev's belts])

Here are the FACTS:
NEITHER GGG nor WARD were willing to meet at the other's weight.
ONE SIDE was willing to meet in the middle, the other was NOT.
..and the willing side gets labelled a "duck"?Really?

If you think Ward is worth so much and shouldnt be the b or c side to GGG then talking big on this forum doesnt help, it seems like there is just a couple delusional haters here who actually dont put the money where their mouth is.
Anyway give me a call when Ward is done with his tuneups next year and when he can draw even half as many fans as GGG.
Golovkin packed 9k into the StubHub Center for the Rubio fight and, according to his promoter (meaning the actual number is likely lower, as it did not come with a corresponding gate figure from the state commission), brought in $500k at the gate.
Andre Ward, for the Dawson fight (as the numbers for Ward-Smith have yet to be made available), put 10k people in the building, sold 8k tickets, and brought in $700k at the gate. GTFOH

Really? Cotto, Canelo, even Floyd & Oscar are all possibilities if he stays at 160. Whether or not any of these fights actually happen is anyone's guess at this point, but the chance of getting even one of them is worth sticking around for, wouldn't you agree?
within weeks of making the statement, cooler heads prevailed, Ward acknowledged how silly and unlikely that fight was, and moved on. Trying to tie the two instances together is another sad attempt by the Golovkin Defense Force to protect Golovkin from being utterly washed in a fight.
