I understand this. But it's still a catchweight that was used to his advantage. Will you give him another pass when he fights another BUM? I have never heard of a champion needing more than one tune up fight...Comment

I gotta hear this.....
As for his tune up(s)... we'll see what happens when it gets there. I don't like jumping to conclusions.Comment

Ward had no idea the guy would come in way over weight, he said as much. And the guy came in fat and flabby. Maybe he didn't train as hard knowing he didn't have to cut as much weight, I don't know. But it was clearly a cherry pick and he gets a pass cause it was a "tune up".
I just think Gennady gets unnecessary hate from fans. He wants to fight the best and fight 4 times a year. I am enjoying the run he is on and wish more fighters were like him.Comment

Well for sure there is no reply from Ward the Turd. There is no counter offer, no demands nothing. Just pure silence... Very self explanatory....Comment

What worse, that Andre Ward will face LHW's like Agnew or Oosthuizen at 168 or MW's like Caleb Truax at 168?
“It would be a struggle to move down to 168, but I would do it to face Ward. I think he should move up to 175 to take me on because everyone would see it as a tune-up for Kovalev as he switches weight classes, but I doubt he will. He knows I’m not worth the risk,” said Agnew.

“That was not a bout I saw myself in at the time. My promoter sent me the text about it and my heart just about stopped. I definitely am honored to be in that conversation, but at the same time that’s a bad boy. I’m not ready to move up a weight class and take on the #2 pound-for-pound guy in the world. That’s something I need to work my way up to. So right now we’re just sticking at middleweight and hopefully win a title in the next two or three fights,” Truax respectfully states.
