Khan has been KTFO by a random guy + Danny Garcia ffs. He's had a couple wins since then, but with Mayweather every opponent gets broken down to their lowest common denominator so Khan will be Glass Joe come Sept. 13 if he ends up being the guy.

One final, strung-out power play from the control freak. He gets his kicks from knowing everyone is waiting on him, not to mention the advantage he gets from not letting his opponents know they are getting the fight until late.

Thank God we won't have to deal with the circus for much longer. The post-Mayweather boxing landscape is going to be far more enjoyable.

        I agree.

Considering this might be a free TV fight I'm sure there are different concerns & hurdles to contend with thus the Sept. 12 Mexican friendly PPV date might not be so friendly for free TV. I don't watch other sports so idk the schedules, but could be issues with a boxing match on the date for some reason with other sport seasons going on. Hell Emmy Awards might be on that night idek, but I can't imagine the concerns are the same for a PPV fight vs a free TV fight so if it does end up being a free TV card I won't be shocked if it isn't on Sept. 12.

I would love it! Maybe not Mayfield, how about Berto and Porter?? But Floyd has noting left to prove to anyone.

Floyd giving two young African American boxers some exposure on national TV in his last fight is a nice little middle-finger to everyone.

"Very doubtful," that today is deal day for @FloydMayweather. Compromising continues in @Canelo @RealMiguelCotto talks.

Am I crazy that the opponent surely can't be Berto at this point? I mean Berto should be willing to blow Ellerbe for the Mayweather fight. How hard should making a deal be? Gots to be another guy or two being decided upon. Or is this just Mayweather & Showtime trying to figure out an extension or deal ending situation out? 6 weeks & a day til fight time lol.

well u got to think all the possible opponents are training like they getting the fight i dont think thats a problem at all

fight will be announced during Garcia fight tomorrow...

at least that is what I suspect. They would want the ratings spike it would cause. "spike" sounds like an understatement.
