Trinidad was much better than Cotto. There is just no comparison in my opinion. Trinidad won 20 world title fights in a row before losing to Hopkins. Cotto would not have lasted more than a round or two with the Hopkins that beat Trinidad. I have never thought Cotto taking a knee was this big disgrace. Lots of good fighters take a knee to get a rest and to keep from getting KOed. It's not the same as quitting at all. I don't think Cotto has ever quit. He is a brave boxer.

Ethered. Wow, that doesn't sound like Cotto at all but it's a known fact, like Javi said, that Trinidad does not like Cotto. It doesn't even have to do with their boxing career, just their bank accounts currently.

IMO its the whole 4 weight world champion. Tito Trinidad wanted that so, so bad, but he didn't get it. IMO it's his & kings fault for after they lost to hopkins, since hopkins people didn't want the rematch they went inactive for like 2 years i think it was. That just my opinion.

I think this fight is 50-50, yeah Alvarez may be younger & stronger, but Cotto has Roach on his corner.

Canelo should get a better trainer like Beristain, Daniel Zaragoza or even Papa Montiel (Fernando Montiel's dad)

Cotto has surpassed Tito

Cotto has surpassed Tito and here's why. Tito we know fought with loaded gloves and once he was caught was no longer the explosive knockout artist he had been known for. No different that Margacheato. So on the basis of that Cotto is a better and more proven fighter. I honestly always thought something was up with Chito's power because he was hurting world class fighters too easily in the first few rounds. That really doesn't happen time and time again unless you're cheating. Tito wins should have an * by them.
