Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Relates To Mayweather as Critics Rise

Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13KOs) feels the sting of his critics and they continue to rise with each passing victory.

Joshua, seen by many as a future force in the heavyweight division, has come under fire as of late - as both fans and experts would like to see him tested against a better level of opposition. Joshua has been destroying the competition, quite easily.

In his last fight against Kevin Johnson on May 30th, the talkative veteran barely threw a punch in the contest and was knocked out in two rounds.

Surprising thing is Golovokin continues to line up bum after bum but is never criticised.

Johsua should be having words with Eddie and Barry Hearn for the crazy amount of spin they have been giving it.

Remember it wasn't that long ago when Eddie said that Aj could beat Fury, Fury then called them out and the story changed, from beating him to being ready in so many fights!

They said they believed they could beat him now but the fight wasn't ready to be made yet. Not hard to understand, that is potentially a PPV fight next year.

exactly, i like GGG but its amazing how he gets all this love for beating nobodys meanwhile the fighters beating top comp and champs in their division get nothing but complaints

Joshua should have showcased outside of the UK by now & been English champion looking for a British title fight. "Bad management"!

Joshua really starting to believe his own hype at this point. Not surprising with that car salesman Hearn in his ear.

You think he's been badly managed?

The guy can already headline cards on his own after 13 fights.

I've heard that the Cornish fight will only happen for the precious British title that you are so obsessed with.

Make it the Telegraph Pole, Wach, in September. It's the obvious match because it's a fight that would figure to go rounds. If Joshua can cut that tough s.o.b down quick, how could anybody reasonably criticize him for it.
