Why Hasn't PBC made Stevenson vs. Beterbiev?

Neither can fight Kovalev because of television/promoter/manger contracts. But they're both with PBC. Haymon has shown he'll put two of the best fighters in the division against each other (Garcia vs. Peterson). When are we going to see this? Beterbiev thinks he's ready to fight the best in the division when he called out Kovalev, and Stevenson is the lineal champ.

He's fought on PBC twice I believe. I think that's enough time to let ink dry imo.

Same promoter. I think they said that fight won't happen because both are with Michel. Might be mistaken about that, though.

It should happen eventually. Especially if one of them fought and beat Kovalev and there was a chance to establish an undisputed champion.

Has nothing to do with Haymon, Yvon Michel their Promoter is not going to cancel out one of his fighters by matching them up with each other, at least not right now and I can't really say I blame him. Not like he has a deep roster, he only has about 5 or 6 fighters total last time I check after losing Lemiuex and Pascal

Maybe if Beterbiev can capture a title then they have the opportunity to unify in a big match then yeah it would make sense to do it in that case but not right now

I think that's what they're working towards. Stevenson is getting up there and if Beterbiev can prove to be a draw, maybe he can replace him sometime next year. If they fight anytime soon, I'm taking Stevenson though.
