I've been a big supporter of Al Haymon, but I don't like what he's done for Khan. This is supposed to be your "guy" to replace Mayweather, but Haymon has not developed Khan, the way that GBP has developed Canelo, or Top Rank has developed Crawford. Khan vs. Thurman should've already taken place before Mayweather's September 12th fight. Haymon has not done a good job setting up Floyd's next opponent. I understand that Floyd made crazy doe in May, but it seems like they didn't think ahead of the Pacquiao fight!

But seriously, yeah.
This one makes Thurman legit top tier guy if he wins convincingly, but it's a big step up. He could get outboxed. Nobody he's fought has Khan's speed. We could learn that Keith's packing glass himself.
I'll take Thurman by big KO for some points if this fight gets made, although they have been inflated past relevance at this point.
Maybe we do an avatar bet or something to go along with it?
Anyhow, sign me up.

Where do people get this nonsense idea that Khan is afraid of Thurman or any puncher for that matter? Even after getting sparked out in one round , he still fought the most feared fighter in his weight division who had a 90% KO Ratio in Maidana...Fought Danny Garcia and fought Collazo as his first 147 fight after Collazo knocked Ortiz out in second round..Khan and Afraid, those two words never go together.
I have no doubt that, Mr Haymon would put Khan and Thurman in to the ring together and pay them both handsomely of course. This is if the Mayweather fight doesn't happen.

When a welterweight version of Julio Diaz is the biggest puncher you've fought in your last 5 fights, you're avoiding punchers.
