Comments Thread For: Hearn Wants Joshua To Get World Title Shot in 12 Months

Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn is anticipating that rising heavyweight contender Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13KOs) will get a world title shot within twelve months.

Joshua, already ranked at #2 by the World Boxing Council, is getting closer to a mandatory shot at WBC kingpin Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33KOs). Wilder's current mandatory challenger is Alexander Povetkin of Russia.

Well, why are you matching him with Cornish?

More BS from Hearn. They're waiting for Wladimir to retire.

I thought wach was better, and cornish just stood there didnt attempt to move around or duck or do a pac run through and turn his man, he just stood there and fired a few jabs.

mismatch room lol have definately backtracked they said and hearn said it he was looking at wach, charr, thompson but now he's got domestic challenges to take care of hmmmm ok. I hope whyte gets some good preperation, hey why not get whyte a fight and give him a chance he might actually have the more ability. Ohh I forgott its not about ability its about persona and pumping iron Lewis is probably just being polite I bet he would tell you differently. Wlad is just saying that so he can get a crack at him early and or deflect from fury whos better.

Cornish would make for an easy KO, but it's really a waste of time. Joshua should fight someone better.

Takam, Thompson, Browne, Ustinov, Chisora, Ortiz, or Wach would be better opponents.

            Panther time.

Iam not joking or joshing Parker will have Joshua choking.
The boy from down under will knock him asunder.
Joshua better be paid plenty of freight.Because Parker will have
Him out in eight. But if Hearn keeps talking all this jive
Parker will send him out in five.He is the thunder from
            Down under.

Well Joshua needs to start fighting contenders instead of hand picked opponents.

Eddie Hearn said they weren't looking at Cornish.

Joshua just said it would be fine with him.

He should fight Cornish in a few weeks not in September. He will crush him then make the Dillian whye fight for September. Take on Wach in December to close out the year. Make 2016 the year he makes his move that is if he can get by Wach.
