Money be damned, Ward-Froch II should've happened at Wembley (putting my amateur matchmaker/money splitter hat on, I'd pay each fighter $1m up front, let Matchroom Sport take the next $4m made on the fight, and then split the rest of the UK proceeds 55/45 Froch, with Team Ward getting the exclusive US broadcast rights to the fight; once all the streams get worked out, you'd hopefully be looking at a 50/50 split of the money).
I'm not sure it's a Wembley fight, didn't have the personal edge of a Froch-Groves fight and Hearn/Froch kept talking it down which didn't help.

Ward really should've accepted the Nottingham offer, career high payday on PPV against an opponent he already beat clearly. I doubt he'll run into that sort of money again.

so what situation is he exactly waiting on?

if you made a poll on who would you rather see froch fight next degale or ggg.

ggg would win in a landslide. in the us and the uk.
Jack is WBC champion, and Groves is the WBC mandatory challenger; they fight at the end of August. If Groves wins (which is a possibility), you segue into Degale-Groves II in the Winter (another massive UK grudge match), with Froch sitting ringside an getting the winner for a massive stadium fight Summer 2016.

On NSB, yes the UK and US fans will go with the "good boy". In the rest of the world, not so much.

Degale's last three fights have been carried on Sky Sports; how many people in the UK have actually seen Golovkin fight?

You add that Degale-Dirrell drew a larger US audience than Golovkin has ever drawn for a fight (being on NBC definitely helped, and I'm not even all that sure about a US result either.

Not sure why Froch tweeted that he's too big and strong for GGG. Is this an excuse not to take the fight? Or is he trying to drum up excitement and promote the fight? Very weird.

Ward owned him in that face off, thanks for posting. Froch does not seem mentally very strong.

Going to Froch's literal hometown, in what was generally expected to be Froch's last fight, with no clear idea as to how the ref/judges will be selected, is asking to get robbed on the scorecards. I hope and believe that British judging can be fair, but stacking the deck that much against yourself doesn't make any sense.

Not saying that Ward-Froch II puts 80,000 into the building, but the fight would be bigger than what could be accommodated by the O2, London is neutral enough, and I don't know any of the other large London-area venues.

Beyond that, it's not like Andre Ward is hurting for money either (He's quietly had pretty significant endorsement deals with Everlast and Jordan brand since around the time he debuted, in addition to finally now getting back to the ring).

If he won and he was robbed, people would still see it as a win for Ward and the corrupt decision would be Froch's burden to carry, not Ward's.

It's up to him ultimately, he probably missed out on a minimum of $3m, but it's his call.

Ward should have taken the UK rematch. For the money however I don't blame him if he does go to the UK the chances of him winning a decision are very slim. Dirrell should have at least gotten a draw.and he would have lost his 0 which is very important Since he doesn't really draw
