Munich, Germany - Polish super middleweight Dariusz Sek moved up in weight to collide with Serbia-based Albanian Shefat Isufi, who was oppositely going down from the cruiserweight class, and revived his stagnating career with a spirited eighth-round stoppage of Isufi in a bid for a vacant WBC Eurasian Pacific light heavyweight title.
Isufi, 25, whose both losses came against undefeated fighters (one of them being 19-0, another one being a pro debutant) in 2014, held the very same belt in the 200lb division. However, he was a smaller man against a towering Pole. Sek tried to impose his will on Isufi but couldn't find his range early on. Fighting at Isufi's second home of Munich, Bayern, Germany - that was a major letdown on the judges' scorecards after the fourth round, which favoured the Albanian.
