Is former super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24 KOs) reconsidering the possibility of facing IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs).
For weeks there was talk of Golovkin potentially going up to super middleweight for a fight with Froch in the UK.
Froch has not fought since May of last year when he knocked out George Groves before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. There is a very good possibility that Froch may retire instead of fighting again.

So you criticize Golovkin for not beating any top opponents yet defend the top opponents who won't fight him? Makes sense.Comment

If you are an elite fighter just starting to make his mark, you can forget about any recognized 'elite' taking a chance on you AND they are perfectly within their rights as they have 'paid their dues and earned the right to go out on their own terms.'
By that way of thinking, when Ward and Froch and Cotto and Mayweather retire, there will be no possibility of ANY fighter ever being recognized as elite ever again as there will be no true 'elite' fighters for them to prove themselves against.
I guess it's time to just pack up the sport of boxing because there will be no one left but bums and cans and what's the point in watching them?Comment

Blah blah blah blah. Sign the contract you coward. Notice how all these fighters have mentioned GGG in the past month, now since GGG is the face of boxing and being called the greatest/most feared fighter of all time, everybody is trying to remain relevant by mentioning him and getting free press. Gennady is the face of boxing and sadly this comes with the territory.Comment
