Oh man this is a great fight.

I hope it happens this year.

Call me crazy but I think this will be a close fight.

Ward is super slick I just don't know if his chin will hold up in the late rounds.

I'd pony up for a PPV. Not sure enough others would though.

Kovalev has tremendous power. He can take years off Ward's career with the right punches. High risk fight for both guys.

I'd have Kovalev in that fight, but it'd be a competitive one for sure.

Also, lol @ posters who think it's cool for kovalev to challenge Ward who's fighting at a lower weight class, but think it's uncool for GGG to do the same for Cotto/Canelo.

I'm just bummed that Ward didn't get Golovkin's scalp on his belt first. Would have made this fight much bigger. But props to Kovalev's people for not coming up with "doesn't make financial sense " excuses.
Props to Kovalev? He's not moving up in weight to fight Ward, Ward would be moving up in weight to fight Kovalev if it happens. It's much much easier to be the bigger guy and have a big name move up to u. Props would be to Ward.

-Golovkin still is mandatory to the 160 WBC and is trying to secure the Canelo/Cotto winner, no need to rush up a division just yet when there are three potential huge fights for him. Best at least figure out if he's going to get one or not.

Regarding the Kovalev Ward fight, have we heard anything from Ward's side yet? Seems like it's only been Duva talking about this.

I'd take Kovalev in this one.

But as far as this fight goes..I'll believe it when I see it.

Lmao yeah I was thinking the same thing. GGG is ***** if he calls out 154 fighters, but Kovalev is the man for calling out a 168 fighter. Haters gonna hate.
