I've said it before and I'll say it again. Punching power is not primarily about strength, how heavy you can lift, or how explosively you can lift etc, it's basically about technique. All the things I have mentioned can help, but even a terribly unathletic person could knock a world class fighter out with perfect technique on their shots, assuming equal weight. Great punchers come in all shapes and sizes - it does of course help if you're not too bothered about what's coming back, which Bradley isn't that much. Bradley just doesn't punch with the correct technique - he's an arm puncher or loads up with punches from his waist. The punches from the waist might be powerful, but they will never knock a decent fighter out simply because if you see a shot coming, you brace for it and your neck does work so that your head and brain don't shake about. Power is about technique and Bradley's is wrong. You can't teach an old dog new tricks so Bradley will never be a puncher, particularly later in fights where fatigue sets in and technique goes out the window and you revert to your instinctive style.

What you said about Bradley being a fat ass between camps is the difference between fighters with short and long careers in boxing... fighters who stay in shape in between fights last-longer and remain at a high level...fighters like Ricky Fatton, Eric Morales, etc. don't last long... Tim Bradley is in that same category..he's in his what early 30s but looks like a shot fighter already... he's looking for a few more paydays before he cashes out and focuses on his family life...
I dont even know what you are trying to saying at the end, but i will call you a ****, for good measure.
Bradley is a fat ass between camps. Manny and Floyd keep their body in near fighting condition between camp. Both also have snap and power that they carried up
And the key to what i said was "Train his body down"
I lost respect for Bradley after he BSed himself and said he thought he beat Pac 8-4 but i do respect him outside of the ring taking care of his and another dude's kids so I hope he doesn't end up taking serious punishment..he's already showing signs of it talking about fighting Triple G...Last edited by MisanthropicNY; 07-03-2015, 07:49 AM.Comment

It's Olympic lifting that made him lose his speed in the first place... boxers should never lift weights..only calisthenics, etc...
Might be one of the most clueless comments I've seen on this site since comments I saw posted on here pre-Broner v. Maidana...Comment

Bradley has been trying to increase his power for years and it has not worked. When is the last time he knocked anybody down? He is not a puncher. I think he lifts too much weight and that plus his natural build make him overly muscular and slows his punches down. I think if he stopped lifting weights and just punched the heavy bag his power and the speed and snap of his punches might increase but he is never going to be a big puncher.Comment

On another note...
Bradley's best performance was schooling a randomly-blood-tested Marquez...
Was he concerned about punching power after that fight?
Why a guy who always ends up having his worst moments in fights when he tries to trade power punches...wants to increase his power just demonstrates how clueless he is...might be time for a new trainer...Comment

I don't see why Bradley can't just move up and fight the same cherry-picks Canelo and Cotto are fighting tbh...Any fighter moving up to a weightclass where he's considerably shorter than everyone is doing himself a disservice. Although there are special talents that can overcome that, at the top level it's very unlikely though.
Bradley is already short at welterweight, last thing he needs to do is move up again and face even bigger obstacles. The idea of him moving up is nonsense, unless he plans to fight the Delvin Rodriguez's of the world.
Kind of funny how you're one of those douche bags who used to rag on Manny for "draining" his opponents..but don't want a guy who balloons to 180 in between fights (some have reported) to move up instead of continuing to drain himself at 147
