Canelo Alvarez wants the fight against Miguel Cotto to be at 156 pounds.

    Cotto wants it at 155.

MEXICO - There are still details to be defined and those who remain, it seems that there will be significant enough for the biggest fight that boxing can have today is not performed. The fight between Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez is already a fact for 7 or 21 November in Las Vegas.

Until a few days ago, there was not much clarity on the seat of combat, either on the weight and the date of the impending lawsuit, but it seems that little by little it has been defoliating the flower and the ad is closer than ever. New York and Texas have already been ruled out as possible locations.

One of the options regarding the date, it is 7 or 21 November, and it all depends on if you are inclined to make it in the MGM Grand Garden Arena or at the Thomas & Mack Center. If 7, go to MGM, if you go to 21, will be at the Thomas & Mack.

Gabriel Peñagarícano adviser Cotto, ESPN noted that on 21 November would be a good date for combat, while the Puerto Rican trainer, Freddie Roach, said the past weekend was the date agreed by the ventilated equipment Cotto.

The other issue so far is the weight. They both agree that they do not need to go to 160 pounds, because neither one is a natural middleweight, but a pound of difference. Cotto wants 155 pounds, but Canelo prefers 156 pounds. They are in the tug of war.

Later this month the announcement would fight and do a promotional tour in August, which will include five cities, such as San Antonio, New York, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and Mexico City, to allow time to time fighters begin their camps.

Canelo's a big boy. 155 pounds might be draining him.

I say let Canelo come in at 156 if he has to.

No big deal, 1lb argument. They'll sort it out 155.5 or something.

Lol this is beyond ******ed. The current middleweight champion wants the weight lower than the guy supposedly moving up. And Canelo's last three fights have been at the weight Cotto is requesting. It's divas being divas just because they can.

But then Cotto's gonna come back and say "you made 155 for your last 3 fights why can't you make it again"

I wonder if Cotto will retire after losing to Canelo? Only answer me if you're going to answer the opposed question. Don't answer me with "Cotto is going to win." That type of assumption will not be tolerated.
