K2 HAVE been putting pressure on WBC. That is why WBC is requiring an agreement that the winner of the fight takes on Golovkin in their NEXT fight and that must be signed by both fighters and accepted by GGG before the title can be in play. So far, no agreement has been signed by either fighter.

Says it all right there. All the big talk from Cotto that he will fight GGG after this fight means nothing if he is afraid to sign the agreement.

this fight is going to be huge with or without the belt, you're thinking to much of it.

The title should not keep the fight from happening which is exactly why Cotto should simply vacate it. If he does not vacate it and WBC try not to strip him, it may very well prevent the fight from happening as Golovkin will get an injunction in court to stop it. WBC lost in the past and will not risk losing in court again just when they are trying to make boxing look better to casuals.

By the way... if Cotto does vacate or if he is stripped, Golovkin becomes champion due to holding the interim title. He does not need to fight anyone else for it.
wbc lost in court to veneno rubio and still veneno didnt get a shot(only step aside money), and on this case going against cotto-canelo is also going against hbo cuz they will be making lots of money there, so it might not be wise to bite the hand that feeds you... but again i hope GGG takes this to the last and gets his title shot or title, or at least exposes the WBC if they dont support him...

And that was only because people begged him to go easy. If he had decided to, he could have put an end to the WBC right then and there. HE chickened out. I don't think K2 and GGG will chicken out. Golovkin has gotten screwed too many times and has decided that enough is enough. You could hear it in Loeffler's voice after the Monroe fight that he is tired of even discussing this. Their decision has been made and they are only waiting to see what WBC choose to do.

It will be interesting what will be said after GGG's next fight, which will certainly be before the Cotto/Canelo bout.

ggg should not sign for a fight before cotto-canelo gets signed, if GGG signs to fight somebody else then Cotto can do the same without an agreement , dont give the WBC any motives , and dont get me wrong i posted against all this BS as soon as maravilla-cotto was announced, cotto didnt deserve a shot back then neither does canelo now, GGG better dont trust on wbc and be prepared for anything, you already have the WBC stating that ggg accepted this situation WTF...
