I havent seen this other guy fight, how impressive is he?
His record isnt that impressive. Alot of his opponents have had alot of loses.
If you'd actually look at Lopezs record, and Calderons, you would of seen that in 24 fights Lopez challenged for a ~ WBC Continental Americas Minimumweight Title ~ belt. That was in 1989, and he started in 1985. Calderon is moving much faster (as always the chase), only problem is, that he is much older. Hes in his 30's already, by next year he will have to step up. I think he might be waiting for Rodel Mayol or Vilora to get a belt.

He has to, hes 31, you pretty much cant compare Calderon to Lopez.

Not by meaningless title defenses, but Calderon is gonna have big fights, and thats where he will seperate from Lopez, because beating Lopezs record he'd have to fight until hes 40. And being unbeaten, even in weak divsions is never a sure thing, so he'd have to prove that he is better. Unless of course he fights 4 to 5 times a year defending his title.
