I don't recall Lara walking away from the fight, so I would disagree with this.

He doesn't have to fight cans. He has an HBO deal so he and his team have the ability to make fights with tough opponents that are desperate for exposure.

I personally can't wait till GGG beats up Lemeiux in like 2016 and everyone here will be caling him a tomato can/cab driver/janitor etc.

        Yes, sure...
Lately, everybody is calling GGG before their fights:
Lara before Rodriguez; Ward before Smith; Lemieux before Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam; Bradley before Vargas... and Froch before retirement...

... And GGG is ducking them all, right?

A unification with Lemieux or Lara would be good fights but both fights are probably unlikely to happen.

Lara's been calling out Golovkin for years now, he called him out after his last fight.

Cotto doesn't want to address the mandatory fight at all.

Who do you guys want him to fight that is willing to fight him, seriously? What's sad is that people actually have the audacity to hold this against Golovkin. "He hasn't fought anybody"... And why is that? Come on.
You're 100 on that. Then they want him to move up when there's unfinished business at 160. The winner of Canelo/Cotto will have no excuses.

Not true. He beat Daniel Santos, who for a while was the only fighter, beaten Margarito.

If Cotto and Canelo don't want to fight him they won't. Being stripped won't hurt them, they're already established names and can fight at 154.

Being stripped to avoid fighting a Mandatory that is building a good fan base would be really bad for their reputations.
