Should sanctioning bodies enforce unification bouts?

I know it's a tad far fetched but I wouldn't have a problem with it. It would help find the real number 1 in the division and also restore one title holder. The main reason I think this should happen is because certain champions refuse (duck) to fight any other champions and as a result the actual number 1 guy can't get fights. E.g Rigondeaux is having to fight at a higher weight class because no one wants to fight him. It's funny how everyone talks about his low ratings however Donaire vs Rigo did great numbers and his fight with Amagasa did like 30 million in Japan.

Could also be beneficial for a situation like the one we have with Kovalev and Stevenson.

Yes I think it should be done at least once a year.

        Depends.

If the mandatory spot was truly earned, then yes. If the mandatory spot is gerrymandered by a promoter/manager, the no.
