  • Comments Thread For: Khan on Brook: Needs Better Wins, Rios is a Lightweight

One man who is chasing a bout with Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is unbeaten IBF world welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 25KOs), who looks set to defend his belt against Brandon Rios on the same September date.

Khan, however, remains adamant the Sheffield fighter has not earned the right to call him out.

The Olympic silver medallist told Ring Cast: "When the question comes to me, why don't you fight Kell Brook? My body's taken wear and tear fighting all the top guys, the world champions so why isn't Kell doing that? Why should I give him this big pay day he's after?

What does that make you Khan? This guy literally doesn't think before he speaks.

You fought Algieri in your last fight! You fought Devon Alexander before that. You fought Julio Diaz. You fought Carlos Molina.

Rios has fought just as much at welter as Khan has.

Brook's win over Shawn Porter is more impressive than anything Khan has done at Welterweight.

Khan beat Alexander easily but Porter beat Alexander before that fight.

It was actually Algieri Alexander Collazo Diaz, Brook does need to test himself again Porter was a good win but he has to fight at that level again and Rios isnt

Maidana would knock porter out so I disagree

Ok so he fought 1 washed up, alcohol addicted WW in his career. Bravo

No he wouldn't and certainly not the one khan fought who was coming off a poor performance vs Corley and followed it up with another poor performance against Morales.

Khan and brook will happen, just that it doesn't have to happen now. Brook can fight some more big names and get a bit of wear and tear. Lets see some slow motion of him getting punched and his head snapping back a few times first.

But its a grudge match so it will happen.

So he proved himself at WW and made a "statement fight" against Algieri, but Rios is a lightweight? Fucck off Queen Khan.

Your name isn't up there with Pacquiao's and Mayweather's, you are a parasite and I hope your weakk azz doesn't land on a big fight and your delicate whiskers get cracked again soon against some of the cherrypicks you've been fighting lately.

Khan isn't even a PPV draw in the UK anymore and his star fell years ago. He's just trying to talk himself back into a big payday. He will not want to face ANY Welterweight that has concussive power.
