Super middleweight great and Hall of Famer Joe Calzaghe has been retired since 2008, but recently he had a few verbal exchanges with domestic rival Carl Froch on the social networks. There was even talk of a non-sanctioned brawl in a parking lot.

Froch had chased after Calzaghe at the tail-end of his career and the two of them often clashed in the press, but the fight never happened. After defeating Roy Jones Jr. in the fall of 2008, Calzaghe announced his retirement and never looked back.

Joe really is coming out bitter, he had a chance to fight Froch but he ducked the fight. No excuses from the usual suspects "He was chasing Hopkins or he was chasing RJJJJJJJ"

Fight Hopkins for millions in America on HBO for the lineal LHW title or face an unknown mandatory in a domestic fight. You'd choose the latter?

Well you are a bit illiterate and thick aren't you?

They met on Ringside and Froch had to admit he'd have most likely lost to Calzaghe, now he acts the keyboard warrior. He's done the same with glass jaw Amir Khan, all sweet as anything to his face and a kùnt behind his back.

For someone who prides himself on taking anybody on he sure is a sneaky little bítch with his back handed compliments

Think of all the back and forth we could have been spared if he had just fought Froch! Can't fault his reason for not, but no reason to keep antagonizing the guy he had the chance to fight.

This is the equivalent of a guy retiring and finding out he has nothing to do in his retirement so he heckles people because he doesn't know what to do with himself.

Yeah I've never understood the hate towards Joe for not fighting Froch. I'm all for fighting mandatories, but taking a Bhop fight for the money and the glory over a relative unknown seems like a no brainer to me lol.
