I actually think this is a good matchup for Spence as long as Vanes can make 147 which I doubt. Make the fight at 152 or something. Vanes has tons of experience, hes an awkward fighter and he's been in there with good fighters. Vanes would be the best fighter that Spence has fought so far by far and it will help him get better.

So matching Spence tough now is a bad thing? It would be his toughest test to date so why not make the fight to see if Spence is the goods? I don't think it should be for a title but it's time for this kid to step up his comp level.
