dont recall either haye or wlad getting hurt in that fight as they were both focused on not getting hit. fury may get starched early but unlike haye the guy will go out on his shield instead of the occasional ambush punch. fury will throw a good amount of punches as long as hes standing

Btw, he also fought and beat two former Klitschko opponents (three times) and Steve Cunningham who lost a close decision in a final eliminator bout.
Sure, it could be better but he's only had 24 fights. Not many heavyweights out there have better resume's at 24 fights incl. and especially Deontay Wilder.Comment

Is this your newest excuse as to why that fight didn't happen? I recall Wlad at the press conference (for which I was there btw) sitting there comparing the situation to Spinks vs Ali and how tough a challenger Chisora was etc.
Regardless, he dropped out to make the fight everybody wanted to see. I don't blame him for that, but I do think he should have fought Chisora instead of Vitali.
Nonetheless, that was exactly what Fury did too.Comment

Why are we talking about Chisora?

I only mentioned Chisora because you made the following comment, "In fact, a guy Wlad refused to fight twice, Fury smashed to bits and nearly retired him." Wlad vs Chisora was a joke fight and I for one couldn't believe that Wlad picked him as an opponent. Therefore I had absolutely no problem with a fight that should have never been signed not actually happening. Yet you want to make Chisora as if he was a serious opponent for Wlad. In my opinion that is as pathetic as it was laughable. Whats next are you going to claim that Wlad was somehow afraid to fight Chisora?
Now, you're coming into a conversation you weren't part of, jumping to the defense of Wlad whilst making the expected tedious remarks about Fury.
The whole topic of Wlad vs Chisora and why I mentioned it, is because your buddy Scott Weiland tried to say Fury 'ducked' Pulev even though he hadn't signed for the fight or anything like that - to fight Haye, the much bigger and lucrative fight.
Which was the EXACT same thing Wlad did with Chisora, although he had signed to fight him twice.
I said, if you call one a duck you have to call the other a duck. But he refused that. In this case, I said Wladimir has more of a record of dropping out of fights than Fury has because Fury (other than taking Ustinov on a days notice and dropping out only to a deadly-ill family member) has less of a record dropping out of fights than Wlad has.
Which is the absolute truth. That's just a fact. Do I believe Wlad was scared of Chisora? Obviously not.Comment

He will never be ready, facing guys like Johnson and Cunningham whilst ducking guys his own and size and strength such as Ustinov, Price and Pulev. The guy is an over protected goof and even that nearly back fired with disastrous results, hence why he never fought Ustinov..Comment

Going the distance is no great achievement if you make no serious effort to win the fight. Pulev gave a better account of himself than Haye despite being stopped before the halfway mark. So did Thompson. Fury will give his very best effort to beat Wlad and if that sees him KOed so be it. It'd still be a better effort than Haye's by the simple face that he was willing to give it a go.Comment

Or the training , preparation , sparring and gameplans worked on before a fight. All of which Fury had absolutely NONE for Ustinov as the opponent he had been trained to box could not have been any more different.
Such a drastic change of opponent should never have been made on 2 days notice. No pro would ever make a change up like that on the last minute.
Understand that as he had zero sparring for such an opponent , his timing would be all off as well has having no strategy. I woouldn't expect a Wladtard to understand any of that , but there you have it.Comment
