To be honest, I'd rather a fighter juice up than load their gloves. Both are cheating, but glove tampering is a lot more de****able considering the injuries they can cause.

You just know Wilder's management is all over the phone with the sanctioning body saying how much money everyone will lose if they throw away "The next Muhammad Ali" against some "unknown Russian" etc etc and how it would make far more sense to give him a "special extension fee" or some other rule that will be invented out of thin air because nobody keeps track anymore
That avi is hilariousComment

Wilder gonna vacate that belt like Bey did. Better to vacate than pretend you'll fight the best.Comment

Russian heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) is ready for his mandatory shot at WBC titleholder Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33 KOs). Povetkin became the mandatory after last month's wipeout of Mike Perez in a single round. For his end, Wilder made the first defense of his title by knocked out Eric Molina in nine rounds.
The World Boxing Council will order negotiations for the month of October.
Wilder is said to be interested in having one more fight before facing Povetkin, who plans to wait for his title shot.

Why wait until October for negotiations to begin? This fight should be fought around October/November!Comment

Good response from Povetkin.
Totally pathetic of Wilder to accuse him, a former Olympian who's undergone drug testing before, of roiding. Totally baseless and ridiculous accusation which honestly comes across as an excuse.
But should be cleared now, Povetkin says he's ready to test - what's the next excuse going to be Deontay?
If Wilder fights someone else before Povetkin, he's straight up ducking and that'll put me off him for good.
Let's get this match-up done between two top heavies.Comment
