Lol what are all this posts about cotto being a really slick fighter. Since when did he become the next Mayweather?

If he was really slick why did he get outboxed by trout. It wasn't even close. Cotto has gotten hit by anyone with decent skill. Even clottey was giving it to cotto. **** even gomez was hitting cotto back.

Is really funny how people are acting here as if cotto would do the same PBF did like if they have the same style.

In my opinion lara would beat cotto ala trout style drop him a few times in the process.

Because cotto all of a sudden became the next PBF. Dude got hit by clottey and slow ass zombie margarito. Where was his flashy skills to avoid margaritos 1 mile away detected punches.

Fck it! Canelo vs. Dela Hoya...Hoyas accomplished, HOFer also. Naw Canelo wouldnt get credit. However, Khan would get full credit for a fight like that.

I dont think Canelo would take a fight like that(Garcia). His comp level is consistent.

With all the talk of Cotto being a diva and so forth, I just watched the Kirkland post fight conference and my conclusion is that Canelo doesn't have a single humble bone in his body. The guy is a spoiled arrogant kid when asked if he is willing to fight GGG his answer was sure in the future, GGG is in a different division but when he Canelo moves up he will fight everyone there. Yet he plans to fight Cotto for the title in GGG's division sounds like an instant post fight vacating if he beats Cotto. Then when asked about a Lara rematch he said no one wants to see that marathon again and in the same breath he said he is willing to rematch Mayweather. He down played the importance of the Cotto fight saying if it happens good if not he is moving on with his career no big deal. The only sensible comment he made was in reference to being concerned with Kirklands health after the ko.

Cotto will be tagging Canelo at will if the Canelo that fought Kirkland shows up because Kirkland was easily getting to Canelo that night, granted Canelo ended up being the stronger of the two but he was extremely flat footed. Cotto will never be the next PBF and he wont need to be against Canelo because he is an excellent boxer puncher in his own right. If Cotto has truly carried his power up to MW Canelo is in for a long night in November.

If Cotto get's KO'd, Roach might set a record for how fast he fell from trainer of the year to bottom of the barrel.

Canelo is primed and ready for this moment now. He will break Cotto down and STOP him. He is too fast, too big, and too strong for Cotto. His run ends in November.

                Great post!!!!!

People forget that Cotto lost back to back fights to Mayweather and Trout.
He then picked on Delvin Rodriguez because he wanted to get back to winning.
He caught an aged Sergio Martinez coming off of an injury and won that fight.
He then made Daniel Geale come down to 157 lbs to fight him.

Fighting Canelo is a whole new world for him and I'm sure he will get KO'ed as Canelo is just too strong for him.

While Cotto might have better overall boxing skills than Canelo, and he undeniably has more experience, he will likely get KOed by Canelo. Canelo isn't that far away from Miguel when it comes to skill. Cotto is shopworn and somewhat washed up. Don't let his recent wins fool you. He is a shadow of his former self. He would not last with Canelo. Even with Roach in his corner, Canelo is much too much for Cotto. Cotto fades late in fights and he will without a doubt fade late against Canelo. A few years ago, Cotto might beat him. Not now. I would even bet money on Cotto getting KOed, I'm that sure of it.

                    STFU Roach.

I'm still unsure of the outcome if this fight does happen. I don't think any result would shock me.

I have always said Canelo is an arrogant douchebag. Floyd humbled his ass for a week at least after that embarrassing clinic.
