Can someone explain this to me? I know that Bradley was winning the fight and was ahead on the scorecards, but when Russell stopped the fight I was thinking that was a TKO. Even if it was (admitted by himself) a mistake on his part, that never really stopped any ****ty calls being overturned in the past. Doesn't the fight only go to the scorecards after being stopped if it's before the 4th round? Or is this a case of that rule not being in place?
Pat Russell stopping the round, not the fight...

The ref screwed up bigtime, i think bradley would have survived but you don't do that to a man, anything can happen in eight seconds, why stop the fight misleading vargas? The ref shouldn't be allowed in the ring anymore he made a foolish blunder. When joe cortez started making these type of weird calls he knew it was time for him to retire and he did, russell should do the same his mind isn't as sharp as it once was and age is catching up to himComment

The problem is russell did the hand signal wave off that is done when a ref is stopping a fight on a tko, russell mind is not right and he needs to retireComment

Many ref's have mistaken the 10 second bell for the final bell of the round. Ref made one mistake, a mistake any man can make with just a tad loss of concentration. He saw a fighter hurt and he saw him trying to survive, from there he's waiting for the bell to end the round quick and not let the surviving fighter take any more punishment than he has after the bell when energies are high.Comment
