  • Any other sport would have....

If what just happened in the Bradley/Vargas fight happened in any other sport, it would have easily been cleaned up in a matter of seconds.

They could have literally just gotten everyone out of the ring and put the last 7 or 10 seconds up on the clock and continue the fight, but since this is boxing they felt that they couldn't do anything.

    Why?

    no they wouldnt.

and what would they have done.. restarted with Bradley pretending to be wobbly against the ropes?

Well Bradley would have recovered by then and been able to last the final 7 seconds so what's the point?

It sucks we'll never know what happened but the ref F'd up and after that you couldn't really fix his mistake.

Yes Bradley seemed to have recovered but still, we don't really know for sure.

This is the same sport that takes away the first 10 seconds of the last round just so the ref forces the fighters to touch gloves. They also delay rounds if the corners don't exit the ring fast enough, even though the clock is running. Every second matters in this sport.

Seriously lmao. 5 min later when they finish looking at the tape are they supposed to go back into a clinch with 7 seconds left

yeh, let Vargas hit Bradley as hard as he can to wobble him and then fight another 10 seconds

If the shot clock doesn't go off in NBA they stop the play and restart with the correct time on the clock, am I correct?

Did you even watch the fight? Pat Russell starts the clock after the fighters touch gloves.

I wasn't talking about this fight only, I'm talking about the majority.
