Vargas wouldn't have been able to knock Tim out even if he had those 7 seconds. Tim had been in a similar situation during the Provodnikov fight and he had endured it. Vargas is no knockout artist and he should just accept the loss and move on, regardless of whether he gets a rematch or not.

So we get a rematch no one wants too see instead of Bradley moving on to bigger and better fights (Brook, Thurman or Mayweather.... Doubtful but hoping) because the ref screwed up. Only 2 things happen in those 7 seconds.... Bradley holds or takes a knee and grins like in the Provo fight.

What a crap show this almost was. Bradley was clearly going to survive, he got hurt but was recovering.
yea when he said that i was like what? why would it be a 10-8 round? cuz vargas finally landed a nice punch 2:40 seconds into the the last round that didnt even drop bradley? i dont get it.

that being said and maybe it's just me but i didnt think bradley looked great in there. which just goes to show how vargas isnt very good. i think we've all seen much better versions of bradley. the bradley that fought vargas would have lost to maybe 7 of the last 9 guys he fought.

I had Bradley winning 9-3 he set the pace he was aggressive dictated the action majority of the fight. Vargas had his moment at the end but to little to late

Jessie Vargas should indeed thank the referee. This ending gave him a sort of moral victory despite getting embarrassed for 11 rounds and 2:40, and he can now tell his friends about how he was on the verge of knocking Bradley out when a corrupt referee prevented him from doing so.

I agree. Max always says that he would give a guy a 10-8 round if he has his opponent "out on his feet" (his words). Imo that's ******, because then there's no reason for a guy to try and stay on his feet if there are going to be judges like Max who just give 10-8s anytime a guy is hurt. It's so ******.

The only result of a rematch would be vargas getting his ass schooled again. This is like saying that chavez should have gotten a rematch with sergio when he managed to drop sergio in the last round. The only difference is that vargas can play the "oh,I was robbed because i still had 7 seconds left in the fight". Bradley was rocked hard, but after a few steps,he saw the shots coming, was blocking effectivly along the ropes, and he tied up smart. No way in hell vargas was going to do what provodnikov wasnt able to do.

Exactly... worst case scenario Bradley takes a knee and still wins on the cards....No way Vargas was going to score a Marquez/Manny style KO in those closing seconds... Definitely have no desire to see a rematch... Obviously there's a lack of opponents available on HBO/TR for Bradley, so we get HBO already hyping up a rematch...
