Comments Thread For: Bob Arum Talks Walters, Lomachenko, Valdez, Verdejo

Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank, says that his company has had recent discussions with HBO for fall dates for the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko and Nicholas Walters, who seemed destined to face each other until Walters failed to make weight for his bout a couple of weeks ago versus Miguel Marriaga and subsequently losing his WBA featherweight title on the scales.

this is why we never got Gamboa Vs Lopez. Arum kept trying to milk them and build up the fight. one moved up and had legal disputes the other started losing. would been better off fighting eachother when they were both p4p fighters and champions.

i wish lomanchenko vs rigo could happen at a catch weight. yes i said it the all mighty evilness of "catch weight" lol. I think most people after the fight would say it was the most boring thing they have ever seen but the talent and skill in that fight would be something not often seen. Chenko might be to big for rigo im not sure but i wish it was a fight that could be made. People talk about ggg but in reality the most avoided fighter in boxing is rigo not ggg cause the risk vs reward is ridiculous. just sucks for someone like me who enjoys pure boxing skill as much as a brawl oh well.

By the time Lomachenko moves up to 130, Walters will be at 140 (and probably gate keeper status as well).
