Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Pacquiao Helped Nevada Casinos Get 1 Billion

LAS VEGAS -- Huge crowds and high rollers in Las Vegas for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight helped Nevada casinos make more than $1 billion off gamblers in May.

It was the first time casinos have hit that total in more than a year.

Nevada Gaming Control Board statistics released Friday show a 3.3 percent year-over-year increase in May. The bump came despite the loss of a Strip casino at the beginning of the month, when the Riviera Hotel and Casino shut down.

No wonder Manny is out here getting sued. Whether he lied about the injury or not, a ton of people were riding him to a hopeful victory.

Pac is not the same dude he was before the knockout. One lucky punch has changed him. He no longer feels unbeatable.

Why would a wise Gambler bet on a guy who was knock out cold by Marquez who lost 12 rounds to Mayweather. They only have themselves to blame

When you're carefully matched since that fight and get that momentum going, fans might be inclined to believe again. When you're the "good guy" & play the role of a savior, people might be inclined to believe again.

And when you and your team talked all that smack, smile, throw flurries, and are having the best camp of your life and letting it be known, fans might've been inclined to believe again.

Betting with your heart doesn't always workout doe
