Sauerlands and Matchroom already work pretty darn well together; having Golden Boy in the mix likely prevented the move directly to Warren or Hearn, tbh.

Which makes clear another point; Golden Boy is in far more trouble than they're letting on.

I'd like to see him fight Nick Blackwell, which provide a good yardstick before the years out.

Golden Boy promotes his US fights, Sauerland will promote his European fights. Furthermore Ogogo's been laid up due to injury/surgeries for a year now, it's no one's fault. He had to have surgery on both of his Achilles. Once he's healthy again both promoters will have plenty of opportunities for him.

Ogogo is now injury free, which is a good place to be; my belief though, is that he ends up fighting far more for the Sauerlands than he does for Golden Boy, for the simple fact that I don't see Golden Boy running that many actual shows, especially with the end of the FS1 deal.

Yeah, these co-promotional deals aren't uncommon.

For example, Ryota Murata, who won the gold medal in 2012 by beating the guy who beat Ogogo in the semis, has a co-promotional deal with Top Rank and Teiken, and he's fought almost exclusively in Japan. He's had one fight outside of Japan, on a Top Rank card in Macau.

Hopefully Ogogo can stay healthy and active from this point on.
