Comments Thread For: Bradley Backs Off Earlier Rant, Says No Bad Blood

Perhaps it was the two days he had to think about his epic rant that would eventually go viral. Perhaps it was the high praised upon him by Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum prior to introducing him to the podium during Thursday’s pre-fight press conference.

Whatever the case, Tim Bradley was in a better mood two days prior to his upcoming showdown with unbeaten Jessie Vargas than was the case earlier in the week.

Top Rank—the Las Vegas-based promotional outfit which represents both fighters—did its part to hype up Saturday’s showdown at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., which airs live on HBO (9:45 p.m. ET/6:45 p.m. local time). A video and press release were distributed to the media, complete with a minute-long outburst from Bradley, in response to claims from Vargas’ camp—primarily former four-division champ Erik Morales, who now trains the undefeated 140 lb. titlist moving up in weight—that his best years are past him.

Too much adrenaline in Bradley my guess. He got worked up.

He doesn't want to fall into a certain category. Taking the high road now so the judges will respect him while Vargas talks stuff. In the ring, Bradley makes him pay with laser counters until he has his opponent ready to bow out.

Ya, I think Tim gets a rush of blood when someone sticks a mic under his nose.

Bradley needs to leave the war of words to the keyboard warriors. Ahem.. That tainted meat is going to Erik's head.

This isn't going to be a cake walk for Bradley like everyone thinks. I think he wins but not that easily. Vargas is young and always hungry. He may not have the most power or speed or defense, but like Danny Garcia he is well rounded and always finds a way to win

No no no Tim. You can't take back what you said. What you said is what you said. You can't go back into a time machine and redo everything. Your opponents team heard you! Now I don't think that Jessie Vargas is gonna win, but I hope Bradley got him fired up now! I hope he makes it some what interesting. Tim needs to keep himself in check, or he'll be in some real trouble. Especially with him calling out those dangerous opponents like he did. Letting his emotions get the best of him, smdh. Talk smack to the wrong fighter, you might get rocked!

Bradley has been fighting off the ropes and brawling a lot in recent fights. That could be a sign his legs are going. If that's the case, Vargas has a good chance, otherwise Bradley is too busy for him.
