Just days after the Charleston shooting, Broner posed with a gun in what was considered a tasteless and horribly-timed joke.
The American, who lost to countryman Shawn Porter on Saturday night in a unanimous points decision, was forced to remove the posts from his Instagram page after the photos sparked a backlash from fans.
"You see this clown.. have you lost your mind?", wrote one fan following the post, while another said his prank was "horrible" and added "I'm so disappointed in you, Adrien Broner."

Broner, who is a close friend of Floyd Mayweather and is renowned for his controversial social-media posts, attempted to explain his joke with a second image showing him prove the gun was a replica.
But the joke, made at a visit to the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, did not go down at all well and the 25-year-old swiftly removed the posts.

Attempting to clarify the joke, Broner wrote: "Y'all dumb if you think I'm bout to f*** my career up LOL....... I will be back September fools."
Officially called the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, the Mob Museum was opened in Las Vegas three years ago.
The backlash on Broner***8217;s Instagram page made it very clear to him that his joke was ill-advised given that nine people were shot dead by a gunman in South Carolina on June 17.
