Comments Thread For: Ricky Hatton is Overjoyed With Graham Reunion

RICKY HATTON is ready to reunite with former trainer Billy Graham after eight years apart.

The former two-weight world champion is hopeful his former coach will team up with him now he is a trainer himself after an emotional reunion.

The pair had not spoken since they split as trainer and fighter following Hatton’s first career defeat by Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2007.

Graham sued the retired Manchester boxer not long after over payments he claimed he was owed.

    Good to see

The Graham Hatton was the best version of Hatton, after Billy left he didnt have the same ferocity and pressure fighting that made him a champion. He didnt know what to do in the Pac fight, he was standing off with the jab, and rushing in....big mistake. Graham would have had him smothering pac and pushing him back, Im not saying it would have made any difference, but he would have lasted longer, and had the opportunity to have a few wars with some old hof to close his carreer.

Chuffed for them both. This is the kind of feel-good story boxing needs.

Ricky was at his best, by far, under Graham. History will be kind to Graham as he was a great trainer and offered excellent ringside advice. He could read a fight tactically very well.
