After double checking, Sergei was with DiBella when he upset Guinn, which was his last bout prior to Lamon 16 months ago. A few months after the Guinn bout, DiBella and Sergei had some blowup.

I know for a fact when DKP signed him DKP started throwing him at Byrd and that's when Byrd split from King.
