Lock Oscar up and melt the key; he's delusional.

Big George came back off a hell of a lay off, but then again George was strong as an ox and could sustain damage. Oscar fighting at weight where fighters are very active AND strong enough to do permanent damage is a whole nother beast.

I'm guessing I'm in minority here, but I think Oscar would beat most light middleweights, and 42 isn't too old, altho not technically young. Of course a GGG would be very difficult to beat, but not impossible. What happens when past prime is you throw less punches, maybe a bit slower, more economical with punches, but you can still win. A great fighter like Oscar may just have a bit more left, but we won't know unless he returns.

              Well maybe nobody can.

              Nobody except for

              FMJ
              Canelo
              Lara
              Cotto
              Andrade
              GGG
              Trout

maybe 10 more, max. Wouldn't hurt too bad to stick him in there with someone like Bradley though.

I don't see this ending well at all for Oscar. He is not motivated to be the best at 154 or he wouldn't be talking about how he is afraid of Canelo unless he is throwing people off with that statement.

^This right here. I hope ODLH doesn't make a comeback, and hope he stops this back and forth act about his retirement. But if he did fight Bradley at 154, I think he still won't win but at least with that fight he doesn't get stopped/possibly injured.

The real issue isn't going to be too much about technique. He is sure to be less sharp than someone like Hopkins who, though he is much older, has been training and fighting regularly. But he won't suddenly not know how to fight at all.

The real issue is the kind of shape he is going to be in. Being out of the ring this long he is sure to have aged physically, and I doubt he has been seriously disciplined about his diet/fitness since his last fight. It's very likely that if he fights anyone other than a can (especially in the first fight back) that he gets stopped.
