Reid can be in the best shape of his life and still wouldn't beat Vargas. Vargas is two or three levels above Reid who didn't look great or even good last night. Reid just had a guy who didn't want to fight in the ring last night.

That's good match making right there - if this fight is made. Teddy Reid needs to stop telegraphing his punches so much. You could see those overhand rights from a mile away. But, his warrior attitude (and Vargas') would make this fight a war. I don't know if Vargas wants (needs) a war, even though it's very winnable for him, as his first comeback fight.

I don't think it would be that much of a war as some think it would be. Reid has absolutely no defense and like you said he telegraphs his punches which would be his downfall. Vargas is no defensive wizard himself but he has a much better defense than Reid and he will throw the straighter harder shots. Vargas would win this fight easy in my opinion.

I'd say match Reid up with Mayorga and you will get the war you are looking for. Both throw wide looping punches and don't rely on defense. It will also be a foul fest as Reid and Mayorga are both known to break the rules in almost every fight they are in.

Vargas would win by ko no doubt about it but Teddy will definately find Vargas's face and chin a few times before he gets wacked out of there...It would be fun too watch for 3 or 4 rounds before Vargas took him out.

reid is sloppy, he's a big puncher but Vargas has the better all around skills, it'll be fun to watch though, two ****ers in there. i have a low opinion of vargas, but he beats teddy reid in an exciting fight
