How would Tyson and Lewis have done in the 1970's?

Lewis and Tyson crushes that era fairly easy......Moreso Tyson,he would be Frazier 3.0...The only competitive fight worth watching would have been Ali vs Lewis as Lewis wins just about every round. It would be like fighting a smart Foreman but bigger.Lennox Lewis beats all of them.
His skill level was high, he would be by far the biggest guy around, his jab would have given everyone serious trouble and his monstrous uppercut on the inside would spell huge trouble for the smaller guys when they got close or held.
H2H, Lennox Lewis is the best HW to ever lace them up.Comment

Lyle was a basic boxer,he had skill but not Rhaman skill.Power would be about the same, however Rhaman was much faster so the punching advantage still goes to Rhaman.Tua would destroy Lyle it wouldn't go past round2...TWO...for TUA!Last edited by juggernaut666; 06-24-2015, 05:29 PM.Comment

Great post mate. Agreed.
Lewis could very well of dominated that decade, beating Ali and Foreman and performing well as long as he was in his prime, he would of needed to of been fighting in the late 60's like in reality he fought in the early 90's.. I could see him taking loses against Shavers as he got caught by lesser opponents in reality when he wasn't taking an opponent seriously (McCall, Rahman).Comment

You my friend are ******edTyson would literally crush eveyone in the 70's ,gone would be the athletic 6'3 plus guys he had to chase and replaced with smaller ones who stood right in front of ,you .Foreman would be the best one who at least had a punchers chance ,and Tyson would simply to fast and skilled .Cus being alive and younger would be with Tyson ,its a wrap!Who exactly is leveling Tyson ?No one was even alive like a 6'3 235 Ruddock, who Tyson walked through .
Tyson vs Marvis Frazier ,thats what 90%of his fights would look like.
Lewis would make Foreman look foolish and completely dominate Ali.Comment

I think Ali would beat Lewis but other that his size and skills would put him right near the top.Lennox Lewis beats all of them.

Tyson was just a beast. I he beats Frazier probably but Foreman would be very difficult for him. Not the style you want to fight Foreman. Ali outboxes him. I dont think Tysons footwork was good enough for Ali, he could be frozen and generally needed to be set to throw his big punches. Tyson has a punchers chance against anyone though and i would never count him out.Comment

Frazier BEAT Ali...he had terrible footwork ,he basically just planted his feet in front of you and for the most part swung for the fences without looking up...Tyson was a master at gaging distance and putting himself in position where he wouldn't get hit, which frazier was known for ...yet Tyson doesn't keep up with Ali?Come'om now even you cant buy that one!your whole basis on Tyson was actually Frazier,he needed to plant his feet...actually Tyson rarely planted his feet unless he put everything into a punch which usually ended in a knock out,he was always a combo puncher and mover,he didn't have to plant his feet to generate power ,Frazier did.I think Ali would beat Lewis but other that his size and skills would put him right near the top.
