Porter will be the perfect opponent for Spence. Porter is very beatable and at the same time could boost Spence's stock up because Porter has a little bit of buzz from beating Broner and on top of that it'll be a Floyd PPV. That's a good scenario for Spence.

Mayweather dont want anyone to take his place in boxing, he must have seen something in Spence that he fears and now hes feeding him to the wolves before it is to late.

This is what I've been saying for a while. I think Porter vs. Thurman is what we will get before the end of the year.

As for Spence. Berto is cool, but the fight I really want to see is Diego Chavez. If he can make easy work of him then I would have no problem with him being matched with a Thurman/Porter/Brook. Not sure who Chavez is signed with though so that fight may not be possible.

Chaves is with TR, but apparently currently in negotiation to fight Alexander in an IBF eliminator (most likely on PBC), so not sure if he's valued enough at TR.

I would like to see Thurman vs Porter next and I think it will happen. Spence should take on somebody durable like Bundu on the Floyd undercard, I think he stops Berto easily.

The way Guerrero looked last fight he'd get killed by Spence.

Porter is not very good at all? He just beat the guy who YOU thought was going to be the next boxer of the decade. Porter is legit, he's just not great.

I agree 100. Thurman and Porter were doing the same thing when they were in Spence's position.

Spence Jr. has skills, but has not proven them at the tiers above him for him to be in any position to be considered a candidate for these fights. But, just like in the business world if you know some one on the inside in a high position (e.g. Floyd) then they can hook you up with higher positions that you aren't qualified for. And that's what Floyd I'd doing here. He's using Spence Jr. as an enforcer to keep a guy like Thurman away from his business because there's a good chance that Thurman can hurt his brand/image. So not only is he using Spence Jr. as a pawn, he's also trying to try to rile up media and fans saying he's targeting Mayfield or Berto that way when he chooses Khan it becomes an easier option to accept.
so what about lomanchenko fighting for a title after a couple of fights and not trying to go after protected guys like thurman
