People consider Dan a good poster? Half of what he spews is hate towards an individual or his opinion.

This site will never change. It's actually getting worse. Do like I do. Skip every 5th post. Yeah, there's a chance you might miss some knowledge. If it was any good, someone will reply to it directly anyway and you can read it before your next 5th post. If someone like that Gong guy is in the thread skip every 3rd one. He'll make a post consisting only of "he he he Flomatic *****s, Ja Ja Ja Brush my pubes". I always wondered if he laughed like that in real life.

There's some real weirdos in Nsb. Supreme racists (nationalists) and some freaks that post the boxers oiled up in speedos, most notably the guy with fruity baby blocks in his avy. It'll be multiple pages of that crap. It's going to get to the point where you have to shut down your laptop if someone comes in the room. Then you have to explain to your wife that you were on a boxing site, while she's packing and waking up the children. lol

I wish it was more about boxing, but to me its the best forum on the interwebz so whatever.

I'm a Floyd/Ward/Hopkins fan and I'm white. There is definitely a racial thing going on because whenever I criticize Pacquiao or some other boxer, I get all kinds of posters sending me red along with racial slurs that insinuate that I'm black lol.

I'm a long(ish) time lurker here, dont really post much because this place is chock full of racists, gay jokes/accusations, conspiracy theories and extremely dumb people arguing with each other about "facts" when they don't have the slightest inkling of how to recognize, collect, decipher or utilize information. In these ways this place doesn't look much different than the rest of the internet.
Anyway, even with all of that this site does keep me apprised of what is going on in boxing and I have read opinions/posts that imo were worth reading. It allows me to think about boxing for a little bit, stretch those pathways...so I keep it on the rotation of sites I check.

Anyway a Mayweather fight I caught channel surfing got me into boxing in the early 2000's. Funnily enough prior to that I didn't like boxing much because I thought it was boring if no one got knocked out or it took to long for knockouts haha. anyway, idc about race or really anything outside of the ring, that is still boring to me. (well trash talk is fun between boxers/trainers and such)anyway...yeah racism sucks.

good thread btw, these are some of the realest , most sincere and cogent answers i've ever seen on this forum.

It is the nature of the sport to bring out nationalism and whatnot from people, but there was a massive explosion of ****** around 2009. We can all figure out whose explosion in popularity runs parallel to the rampant escalation of hate and ******ity on boxing forums. The tards, easily the worst fan base in sports history.

Recently, absolutely. But I find it odd that there is a great deal of support for "excitement" and "ko's" yet that support doesn't spread to Deontay.

Would you have a guess as to why this is the case?

No, it doesn't stink the thread out at all. It illustrates the point the TS (I think) is getting at.

If you are a fan of "excitement" and "ko's", Deontay does this better than any champion right now. Yet when it comes time to discuss deontay, the focus is on who he fought rather than what he accomplished.

For other fighters in the "exciting" and "ko" category, it's only about what they did, not who they did it to.

              Is that fair?

              That is the standard response.

Because his opposition is/was worse than the LSC type of mismatches. I think only LSC and Deontay are the only ones deserving on "fighting cans" criticism.

Again, because his opposition has been the epitome of bad resume. He stepped up to Stiverne, couldn't KO him. Most of the other guys in the "exciting" category have at the very least knocked out top 15-10-5 type opposition.

The TS was opining on how there are certain posters who bring up race (or in your case in this particular post) race bait people. It's a pretty far reach in Deontay's case, everyone has been asking for him to step up competition for a while to see if he's real or not. The Klitschkos get criticized for dominating a weak division, yet here's Deontay not fighting ranked opponents. It's a fair criticism and has nothing to do with skin colour.

GGG gets hated on because he's fighting the bottom of the barrel in terms of talent, while calling out smaller fighters, while avoiding bigger fighters. I don't need to hear why can't big fights, that's he's tried. I don't need to hear or care about that ****. When you're a victim of circumstance, it happens, but when you hear it about EVERY potential opponent, there's going to be backlash whether it's your fault or not.

Some people hate GGG because he's white, we know this as fact. But some people hate Floyd because he's black we know this as fact. Some people hate Manny because he's Asian (Same people that hate GGG, go figure) People hate Cotto because he's PR. People hate because that's what they do, but hating on GGG for what he's currently doing... his team brought it on themselves and now him and his fans can't take the heat.

Which isn't surprising. GGG fans want him to be the best thing in boxing, yet when the pressure that comes with that starts to come to a boil they want to hide or make excuses.

LSC is not a dude in that category IMO. If you think that is the reason, ok.

He didn't KO Stivernne but had him hurt many times. I understand your point but that just doesn't seem plausible to me.

Calling the post race baiting is a childish way of avoiding the point being made. I am one of the biggest Deontay critics here on NSB. We are not discussing criticism, we are discussing why he isn't embraced when he is as "exciting" as anyone in the sport by NSB's definition.

Other fighters have been embraced while they are destroying no hopers. When they destroy a no hoper they do not face anywhere near the backlash. That seems odd if "excitement" is what it is all about.

Haha that is hilarious, I got a red K once and I was called a slick back by some Rican simply because I dislike Cotto and love Canelo.
