i counted 22 clinches in pac-rios. that probably deserves a couple warnings and maybe even a point but 70 and 22 are a lot different. and 22 and wlad's 187 are a lot lot different.

Charley Burley, Armstrong, but who cares, what you stated doesn't even compare to these guys.

Thats not even true on FLoyds case. So call boxing fans forget that Floyd keeps in shape year round, he's not going to bloat up the rest of the guys.

And he couldn't get his weight down Marquez at 146, yet he ususally comes in weighing in at 152 FIGHT NIGHT, so what does that tell you?

he's a natural 147 lbs, same as Maidana, but unlike FLoyd, Maidana lets himself go between fights, cuts down quick. So on fight night he's going to come in a little heavier as his body retains more water.

You're acting like he always clinches excessively. Maidana II is the only fight in recent memory i can think of where there was legitimately excessive clinching.

Come on man. Call a spade, a spade a spade. Those guys did not consistently fight bigger guys that weighed more than 15+ lbs than them on fight night. We are not talking about weights outside of competition. We are speaking on fight night weights. And there is too much evidence that he's consistently fought guys that weighed 15+ lbs more than him on FIGHT NIGHT.

Also, Mayweather does not come into fights at 152 lbs. It's usually between 146 to 150 lbs. These are facts, or would you like for me to post the fight night weight pics?

The funny thing is, even Castillo had a 9 lbs weight advantage. So the weight disadvantage goes back more than a decade.

I mean there is no answer for my question,he can not answer it..we are talking about a 38 year old man fighting at the top level with 5 world titles and 2 Ring/Lineal titles in 2 different divisions..He never held in his prime but they are talking about a 38 year old man like he is prime clinching a few times.....I will patiently wait until they name me a ATG under 160 who was the best fighter in the world at 38

Nope. Heavy weights just don't move as nimble as lighter weights. They burn energy twice or thrice a lighter fighter does. As I just mentioned, lifting their arms for them is already a choir.

Heavy weights are lumbering men that when you get hit by those heavy shots you go down. The down side is they can't throw as much punches coz they burn energy faster since they carry more weight.

Light weights vs heavy weights are apples and oranges homey.

What you need to discern, clinching to stop an exchange is cowardly. Clinching coz they are spent is excusable especially when your a lumbering 200 plus pounder.

No one can do it for you, you have to put 2 and 2 together.

Floyd couldn't make 146 against Marquez, yet he comes in at 150 fight night?, that must ring a bell

You could see it on the lower weights as well, it translates.

Maidana moved up as well, he spent his career at 140, and i could be he can make it confertably if he wanted to, he comes in soft at 147lbs.
