Mayweather gave a great performance, utilizing every tool... 70 times in 12 rounds... Name a great boxer that doesn't employ the clinch. Robinson clinched often, at most times releasing before the referee but did clinch. Learn more of boxing before critiquing what has been taught for decades.

There is clinching coz fighters get tied up, and there are clinching where in it is used to stop An exchange, too much clinching is a vagina move.

Too much clinching adheres to the lack of skill to compensate for a fighters limitation.

As we all know clinching is foul in boxing. 70 clinches obviously means, lack of confidence to ones capability and had to rely on cowardly hugging.

Fighters should figure it out in the ring and clinching is a useful tool especially when guys are so limited they are essential lost when it happens to them. Not exploiting that is a losing move and not wanting guys to put their best effort into trying to win.

That holding didn't work out so well for Broner because Porter wasn't letting that happen. It wasn't pretty sure, but it was a losing plan hence why no one really cares and just laughs at Broner.

Holding doesn't win fights, it can spoil it for a guy but that guy still has options to change up and not be lazy allowing them self to be clinched up. It is not easy to tie someone up that is trying at all costs not to get tied up or if they actually put work in the gym on dealing with such moves with a little dirty boxing of their own. Either way I am not forgiving of laziness and making excuses for fighters being so lame to not being able to handle something on their own~

Dude you don't know nothing about the sport obviously... Sugar Ray Robinson, the man Considered the best P4P boxer of all time utilized the clinch... And you hear the word "utilize" because it is a tactic used in the sport. He also used it as often as 5 times a round.

It's not clear to me why hugging is allowed in boxing. Its not boxing and its boring as ****. Guys like Floyd and Wlad would have a couple more losses if they weren't allowed to use this non boxing ***** ass tactic.
