TBH for $30 mil Showtime have the right to demand a better opponent than them two, but it won't be one of them anyway.

Spence has a point.
Although I don't believe Floyd is serious about Berto or Mayfield.
But if he were serious (which he's not) and this was his swan song, his ride off into the sunset (which it ain't) then yes I agree he's earned the right to face a "stepdown" in his final fight.

Floyd has my respect as a fighter and a business man, tough profession, big success; but I am not going to donate to his retirement fund. Berto or Mayfield will have to fight at a huge discount, Floyd doesn't hurt people anymore, he "outboxes", embarrasses them. Fighters are acting like Floyd is a whiplash car accident. Wear a silly collar for a while and get paid.

Floyd earned the right to fight even Algieri in case he wants to.

Doesn't matter who he fights unbeaten guys haven't fought a soul including GGG berto and mayfield both trash so it's still a lose lose situation besides a rematch with either cinnamon or cotton

He also said he was gonna fight Alexander before Guerrero. Putting Berto and Mayfield out there makes Khan look a lot better.

It's worrying to hear that spence thinks this way, Floyd needs to fight one of the unbeaten guys out there @ $40m + nothing else will do .Nobody apart from the most deluded on here really wants one of these damaged goods guys in the ring with him .

Rising welterweight contender Errol Spence (17-0, 14KOs) has no problem with his mentor, Floyd Mayweather Jr., taking on Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Most media members were in disbelief when Mayweather continuously named Berto and Mayfield as the leading candidates for his next pay-per-view outing - which Mayweather claims will be the final fight of his pro career.
