Floyd has had the better competition out of all of them in recent fights if he wants to get an blatant cherry pick he can because everybody else is already eating from the same tree any way.

Legacy wise it should not hurt him but finanancialy no matter who he fights now he takes a loss after the manny fight.
The difference is that none of those fights were/are ppv fights. If floyd takes a tuneup on pbc on network tv...ok. but u know that ain't happening

No way. De la hoya would be soooo poo slllloooow. Khan, thurman, porter or brook would all be acceptable imo

Good, fight one of them dudes, let your last PPV be the worst of your career, and ride of into the sunset. Bring it on and get it over with.

I'd prefer to see the likes of Thurman v Brook fight each other without having an L to Mayweather on one of their records. It's a new generation now and i'd like to see them battle it out for the best, rather than being outboxed for 12 rounds in a lackluster fight by a guy who's about to retire.

Give him Mayfield, stack the card and enjoy a good night of boxing. He's proven he was the best of his era already. It's not going to get any bigger than beating Pacquiao anyway. If he beats Khan then Khan was a bum who struggled with Algieri, if he beats Brook then Brook was a guy who never fought anyone but porter, If he beat Porter, he was a guy who lost to Brook already, If he beats Thurman they'll say he was never tested etc. etc..

The excuses will flow anyway no matter who he fights and beats, as they always do..
WOOOOW....this right here is just the realest words wrote on this thread, hats off to you man.

If Floyd's staying at 147, I think he should face Brook or Bradley. Brook holds one of the belts while Bradley's only loss is to Pacquiao and he also convincingly outboxed Marquez so these 2 present a better case than Berto or Mayfield.

Seriously, you just said it all. It really doesn't matter who he picks, none of them will improve his already cemented legacy. Then on top of that, they'll have all the excuses you pointed out 100%.

i hope floyd is joking about this, and maybe it is a way to make Khan look better. But either way he is clwoning these two guys

berto was a limited fighter that had athleticism and power until he tore his bicep. he isn't the same anymore. i'm not suprised floyd would ride off in the sunset. i was expecting a "solid" opponent to mean danny garcia, amir khan, etc. i don't have a problem with him choosing who he wants. showtime is who should take issue with a 32 million price tag for fighting a tune up. this ppv would do horrible numbers. people don't really believe its his last fight and will hold out for the 50th fight in my humble opinion.

**** that. If he's the TBE then he better damn well end his career with tough competition. Simple as that.
